Challenge
Scaling a Vertically Integrated Supply Chain
With a deep passion for preventative health and personalized care, CEO and Co-founder Ada Juristovski Jemc built body care brand Nala Care differently. The company owns its recipes, formulates most products in-house, and manufactures on-site using the highest-grade ingredients, free from potential carcinogens. Deodorants are often produced and shipped the same day, enabling ultra-fresh product and strict quality control.

This tightly coordinated, vertically integrated model allowed the brand to grow sustainably for years through real-time communication and hands-on planning. As Nala has grown across Amazon and wholesale, however, forecasting demand has become more complex and manual planning has caused missteps.
With an internal goal to 5x revenue, Ada's real constraint wasn't finished goods inventory — it was raw materials, packaging, and production capacity.
"We're a premium brand," Ada explains. "We don't want to sell a tube of deodorant without the beautiful packaging that elevates this ritual." When, during a recent rebrand, the team had deodorants ready to ship but no outer boxes available because they underestimated demand, "it felt like a huge missed opportunity."
To support their ambition for rapid growth without compromising customer experience, Ada needed better visibility into channel-level forecasts, raw material planning, and long-lead purchases. She wanted to ensure that operational complexity would not slow momentum. "We needed a tool that would allow us to have more foresight and trust the data," Ada says.
When Ada was introduced to Moselle, she could see how the inventory planning solution would support the brand's acceleration, without compromising Nala Care's indie brand ethos.
"Our deodorants are consumable products. If someone falls in love with a scent and comes back to replenish, the product has to be there."

Solution
Sophisticated Forecasting and Planning That Takes the Guesswork Out of Growth
It quickly became clear to Ada how impactful Moselle would be. The platform is bringing structure, visibility, and confidence to her team, with tools such as Mo allowing Ada to do the AI-informed forecasting and raw material planning necessary to grow.
Moselle unified Nala's planning workflows, creating a centralized hub for visibility across operations. Inventory updates, purchase orders, and lead times are now tracked in one place and accessible to multiple team members. Entry-level employees manage updates confidently, while leadership uses the platform to model high-level strategy.
The Moselle team walked Ada through how to set up and compare forecasts across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale, giving her a clear sense of where to focus and how to plan. "They helped paint the picture holistically, showing where we could alleviate some of our team's guesswork," Ada says.
Ada leverages Mo, Moselle's AI layer, to turn that data into smarter, faster decisions about product and wholesale. She tests bundle strategies based on real inventory data — balancing fast and slow-moving SKUs while ensuring sell-through aligns with stock on hand.
Ada also uses Mo to test longer-range planning. "I'll say, if we want to 5x and I'm sitting on 50,000 containers of deodorant, how many do I need to order, given a six-month lead time?" she shares. "Mo tells me exactly what I need to be thinking about."

Rather than manually building complex spreadsheets, Ada tests customizable growth scenarios directly with Moselle's Forecast tool. She adjusts channel splits, maps revenue goals to unit targets, and understands how those targets translate into ingredient and packaging orders. For the first time, forecasting and purchasing decisions live in one shared system.
With Moselle's unique ability to model demand beyond finished goods, the guesswork is taken out of growth. Ada translates those channel forecasts directly into raw material and packaging needs. She sees exactly what to buy and produce to support the projected demand.
Nala now operates with greater cross-team visibility, improved confidence in long-lead purchase decisions, and a shared system that reduces guesswork. Forecasting has become increasingly embedded in the company's operational rhythm.
"Having forecasts, purchase orders, and raw materials under one roof has been incredibly valuable. It gives our team the confidence to grow without becoming our own bottleneck."
Results
100% In-Stock Availability Across Ten Core SKUs During Rapid Growth
As Nala Care expands channels and prepares for aggressive growth, Moselle helps the team maintain operational stability. With forecasting and planning now running through a single system, Nala can grow its reach and distribution without losing its signature personal touch.
Since implementing Moselle, the Nala team has achieved:
- 125% revenue increase across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale while facilitating a rebrand
- 100% in-stock rate across 10 core SKUs during rapid growth
- 6‑month packaging and container plan built in minutes with Mo
Looking ahead, Ada will expand its use of Moselle, leveraging the platform to manage contract manufacturing, multiple warehouses, and ingredient reformulations due to global supply shortages.
