I'm able to ask what SKUs are low in stock for each market - Japan and US - and Mo is able to identify right away how much quantity to produce and by when. It makes my life easier!

Modern brands don't sell through one channel. Their planning tools should keep up.

DAMDAM Tokyo sells across multiple markets including; DTC, domestic wholesalers, and Japanese retail partners — each with their own sales cadence, reporting format, and data structure. The challenge of understanding demand across various channels wasn't due to reporting issues, but rather a fundamental data problem.

Forecasts would remain incomplete until all the data could be unified. That's where Moselle and Mo changed the equation.

Not every channel that Max sells through has a native integration. His Japanese retail partners send sales files in their own format, in Japanese — different headers, different structures, data that doesn't map cleanly to a standard upload template. Reconciling this data and making it useful was a manual process that could take hours.

With Mo, it no longer does. Max uploads the file directly into Mo — as-is, without reformatting.

Mo reads the structure, understands what the data represents, and prepares it for upload into his forecast. Japanese retail sales now flow into his demand plan the same way his DTC and wholesale data does.

His forecast reflects real demand across all of his channels — not just the ones that were easiest to connect.

But the bigger shift is in how Max makes decisions day to day. When inventory levels are shifting and he needs to act quickly — on a hero SKU running low, a channel outperforming its plan, a reorder window closing — he doesn't build a report. He asks Mo:

  • "Compare my forecast vs actuals for [channel] this month — where am I running ahead or behind?"
  • "How much inventory do I have left for [SKU] and when do I need to reorder to avoid a stock-out?"
  • "Which SKUs across my channels have the lowest weeks of supply right now?"

For a multi-market brand where no two channels operate the same way, that agility matters. Moselle doesn't ask Max to simplify his business to fit the platform. It meets the complexity of how he actually operates — and gives him the tools to move faster within it.
