Release Notes (October 2024)
Kevin Bonilla
This month, we launched an exciting new forecast conversion feature, tons of UI upgrades, and several targeted refinements aimed to streamline your workflow. The result? More control over your planning with less manual effort.
From converting revenue forecasts into inventory forecasts to improving replenishment planning, the latest updates are all about honing what matters most: accurate forecasting, smoother procurement, and meeting sales goals without missing a beat.
Quickly Navigate Your Planning Page With Streamlined Menus and UI Improvements
We've reimagined the settings and navigation on your planning page to help you plan more efficiently — and with fewer clicks. This update enhances your platform experience by consolidating go-to actions under three convenient new drop-down menus:
- File: For general settings like renaming planning pages, setting a forecast as default, uploading or replacing forecasts, and exporting or archiving plans.
- View: Change your forecast views directly from your planning page table or preview AI-powered predictions across models.
- Automate: Easily generate top-down or bottom-up forecasts in seconds.
Plus, we’ve redesigned each tab to stand out, making it easier to jump between your Forecast, Replenishment, and Custom Data pages.
Improved Scenario Planning with New Revenue-to-Units Forecast Conversion Feature
Forecasting just got a lot more flexible with the ability to convert revenue forecasts directly into unit forecasts. Now, you can accurately align forecasts with sales goals, streamlining the transition from high-level revenue targets to actionable procurement plans.
With it, unlock deeper insights by comparing top-down (big picture) and bottom-up (nuanced) forecasts.
Access this feature from the Automate drop-down menu, then select Edit Top-Down Targets to enter your gross sales data in the Goals Table. From there, simply press Generate Top-Down Unit Forecast or Generate Bottom-Up Unit Forecast, and the converted unit forecast will appear under the Forecast tab on your planning page.
Refreshed Replenishment Page UI for Plan and Order Generation
Your Replenishment page got a makeover this month. With a cleaner interface and more flexible planning options, you’ll have a tighter grasp on your inventory levels, empowering you to better anticipate and meet demand.
These UI improvements now split Replenishment Plans and Order Generations into two tabs.
Plus, under Plan Frequency in your replenishment settings, you’ll find an all-new weekly view enabling more timely replenishment cycles. Once built, these plans organize your purchases by week for better tracking and execution.
What Else is New?
- Patched Document Upload Issue: Upload files and download attachments on the Purchase Order Edit page without disruptions.
- Resolved Time Range Bug: Reports now align with the correct time ranges.
- Default Delivery Date for Mass Uploads: Purchase orders uploaded via the Mass Upload option will now automatically set a delivery date 14 days from creation.
- Enhanced Product Comparables: Improved item comparables to provide more accurate forecasts for new product launches, boosting the Revenue-to-Unit forecast conversion process.
- Optimized Item Importer: The item importer now prevents duplicate attributes from being added multiple times, reducing data clutter and improving efficiency.
